Organic
We are an organic certified farm. This means, among other things, that we cultivate our land in a sustainable way, taking Mother Nature into account. At our Agriturismo you can find various types of planting and agriculture, which we all grow in a biologically responsible way.
Farming
On the lower part of the estate, we alternately grow crops such as grain, spelled or crops for animal feed. After harvesting the grain and spelled, we take it to the local miller. We obtain organic whole grain and half whole wheat flour that we use in our own products, but we also sell it in packs of 1 kg in our shop.
Our chickens, which roam freely, provide fresh eggs every day!
Vineyard
As wine enthusiasts, there is of course a vineyard. Our small and young vineyard, planted in March 2016, consists of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot grape. We also cultivate the grapes exclusively in a sustainable way and we take care of them with a lot of passion. The wine is therefore certified organic.
The wine bears the name “BENJAMINO” which means “the favorite”.
Olive oil
From the end of October to November it is time to work in the olive groves and we start picking the olives. With a lot of passion, mostly in the sun (it MUST be dry when picking), and big nets under the trees, we pick the olives mainly by hand. All for a good cause; obtaining the most delicious, organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
We sell our olive oil under the name ‘A Taste of Passion’.
Fruit
Many types of fruit trees can be found on the estate. Fig, apple, pear, cherry, apricot and plum trees, but also medlar, almond, walnut, hazelnuts … lots of pruning and care!
The fruits provide the tastiest organic Confettura Extra, juice or liqueur. Feel free to come and taste!
